The Artist Behind the Whimsy
Sculptor Cindy Hochart creates unique, one-of-a-kind handcrafted pottery and garden sculptures designed to bring joy, laughter, and personality to your home and garden. Each piece celebrates the charm of the unexpected — from whimsical gnomes to playful snowmen — handcrafted with humor and heart.
Before launching Pottery Whimsy, Cindy spent her career as a clinical consultant and writer. Her decades in that world sharpened her eye for detail, storytelling, and connection — qualities that now find a new home in clay.

Garden Stacks
$300 -$450
Each garden stack or totem is unique, consisting of 5-8 handcrafted sculptures designed to bring smiles into your garden. You can select from existing art or design a custom stack of sculpture images that have been hand-sculpted and glazed.
A typical Garden Stack stands about 3 feet tall and includes a stone base crafted to look like a rock with a steel rod which forms the structure of the stack. The cost for a custom garden stack is dependent on the size and complexity of the designs.
Whimsical Sculptures
Starting at $50
One-of-a-kind ceramic garden sculptures and tabletop figurines. From neighborhood watch gnomes to frolicking snowmen, each handcrafted piece is designed to add humor, charm, and artistic flair to indoor and outdoor spaces.
Garden sculptures are free-standing sculptures made from durable sculpting clay to tolerate outdoor elements. Each piece is unique and crafted by hand one at a time. Examples include fish on garden stakes, gnomes, and fun novelty items like gargoyles or Humpty Dumpty.
Frolicking Snowmen
Starting at $35
Handmade ceramic snowman figurines, approximately 8 inches tall. Each piece features wheel-thrown snowball bodies with hand-sculpted details. Perfect for winter displays, holiday decor, or year-round whimsical garden art.
My frolicking snowmen are popular displays in the winter and make awesome gifts. The snowmen come to life through their activity and your imagination. Snow people have been known to go ice-fishing, roast marshmallows over an open fire (very risky behavior for a snowman), or indulge in other winter activities.

The gallery provides examples of current and past sculptures. The gallery will list which items are currently available and where/if they are on display. Because each piece is unique and hand-sculpted, when they are gone – but they can serve as examples and inspiration for you to request your own sculpture or stack.

Book a time to have a private and free claytime chat with Cindy. If the item you want is available, you can purchase it with venmo or a credit card and together we will arrange for shipping. If you want something custom – let's discuss the details.
Pay & Arrange Delivery
You can pay for your sculptures electronically using venmo or by credit card. I use Square to process credit cards. I will ask for payment up front but will provide a full refund within 30 days if you do not love your new sculpture.
Gallery Locations
Cindy is based in San Antonio, Texas, with galleries showcasing Pottery Whimsy creations in Helotes, TX and Lexington, Missouri. You can visit in person to see the sculptures or work with Cindy to identify and adopt your special creation and have it shipped to your home.
